We walked around the medieval St Maria church,the remains of the San Vicente de la Barquera Castle and a wall. The castle was constructed around the 13th and 14th centuries, in the time of Alfonso I, and played a major part in the defence of the area. The church was constructed during the 14th - 16th centuries.
